We train and support program leaders and coordinate the delivery of My Tween and Me, a parenting education program for parents of children 7-12. Available in community agencies across the province, My Tween and Me is a 6 week program that helps parents build strong relationships with their pre-teen children, to prevent high-risk behaviours before they begin.

Story Times for children birth to age 6 book programs, Reading Buddies, Red Cedar groups, library or in- school visits, summer programs. The Reading Buddies program is for children in Grades 1-4 {with teen buddies). Red Cedar is for Grades 4/5, and the Reading Link program is also for Grades 4/5 (done through the schools, starting every September). There usually are Spring Break programs for Grade4/5, and Summer Reading is for school-aged children. The Coquitam Public Library also has a French conversation circle for immersion students with teen buddies.

Food Bank – Share Family & Community Services
Description of Services:
Families can receive every 2 weeks a standard package of non-perishable items sized according to their family size every Wednesday from 12-2pm. Additional products of bread, baked goods, fruits and vegetables are also available.
Any family with need can register for the food bank at one selected location from 10-2pm on Wednesdays. To register please bring pieces of ID for all household members (E.g. Care Cards, drivers license, etc) and proof of residence in the tri-cities for all household members (eg. Utility bills or bank statements)
